Celestite is a blue-grey or colourless mineral with a hardness of 3 to 3.5. It is found most plentifully in Madagascar, but also in Mexico and the U.S.A. Usually found in geode clusters or chunks, it occasionally forms in single crystals. It is sometimes called Celestine.
