Velvet Purple Bag Lined With Satin

We say: Both the small and the medium sized bags are very well made. The velvet is soft and luxurious and internally the satin is matched very well.

The smaller bag is ideal for pendulums, or for keeping a special crystal safe or for anything else you need to keep special and protected. Whilst the medium is ideal for use with the original Angel Cards, Angel Power cards and Angel Meditation cards. It is too small however for the Healing with the Angels and Messages from your Angels cards and Power of the Runes cards. For those you will need to look at the Tarot bags. Also the right size for keeping runes, crystals or anything else you'd like to keep safe.

Small Bag Size: 9cms x 9 cms (3.5 inches x 3.5 inches)

Bag characteristics: Made from a deep purple velvet with internal lilac satin lining and purple drawstrings

More About the Symbolism of the Colour Purple
Purple is traditionally a royal colour and sign of dignity. Garments made of purple cloth were typically worn by high priests, emperors, military leaders and magistrates in the Roman times, as well as having a strong association with Osiris, and Ancient Egyptian god.

The colour gained its superior authority as dying cloth purple was an expensive process, involving collecting secretions from two types of molluscs, so only the wealthiest people in society could afford to have clothes made of the colour.

In terms of magic, purple is linked to the spiritual dimension, psychic development, wisdom and spiritual strength. People often use the colour, whether through meditation or visualisation, to try and increase their spiritual development and access higher states. Likewise, in the chakra system, purple / violet relates to the crown chakra.

The colour red is typically associated with a range of emotions and states of being, including: energy, passion, love, joy, vitality, health, strength, power, fire, aggression and danger. Different people perceive colours in different ways, so you may have other associations, which are equally valid.

Throughout ancient traditions, red has been a dominant colour, symbolising both positivity and negativity. It's been used to represent the colour of gods of sun and war and is often associated with power. In China it was the emblem of the Chou dynasty and was thought of as being one of the luckiest colours. In Christianity red is associated with the act of sacrifice, representing the blood of Christ who died on the cross. Red is a particularly dominant colour in the Tarot.

The colour has links with passion and sexuality, too. Hearts are usually depicted as red and it features widely in the annual celebration of St. Valentine's Day, and in Greece it was the colour of the phallic God, Priapus. Young North American Indians traditionally painted themselves in red, believing it would increase their strength and desire.

As far as the chakras go, red is the colour used to symbolise the base chakra.
