Om Deeksha - Maneesh de Moor On his second album for Sounds True, Maneesh de Moor explores the mysteries and wonder of sacred chant through a series of collaborations with Deva Premal, Sudha, Anette Carlstrom and other chant artists. The focus of the album is "deeksha," also known as the "Oneness Blessing," which is the transmission of divine energy into the mind for the purpose of developing clarity and inner peace. When one gets into this place, they are more receptive toward universal compassion and understanding. De Moor's music is soft and comforting, blending light rhythm and drone instrumentation with flute, strings and bells.
