If you order more than one you will find there is some degree of variation. That is because they are hand polished, not machine polished. The reason they are hand polished is because selenite as a crystal is soft and has grains that change direction. So machine polishing does not work well. This means that they can differ a little in their diameter and also mathematically speaking the sphere shape can vary a little, but it is hard to pick up with the naked eye.  Each sphere will be unique is its internal crystal structure and translucence. The plastic stand is included.  Selenite -  Selenite is a crystallised form of gypsum. The colours can vary. It is a soft and fragile and is formed on Salt Plains, about two feet below the surface. Note: be careful when cleansing selenite as, although some contact with water is okay, it's a soft mineral and can deteriorate if left in water for long periods of time.
