Shimmer - Solitudes SHIMMER is an album that revels in the beauty of a moonlight night. What could possibly compare to a warm summer evening, when the stars are sparkling in the velvety black sky and the comforting hum of crickets blends with peeper frogs, owls and other nocturnal wildlife? This album features music composed and performed by Kostas Filippeos, whose light touch with his melodies provides the perfect foreground to Daniel and William D. Gibson's stunning nature ambience recordings - all painting a portrait of a perfect nightscape. Most of the melodies are performed using piano, which is melded with buttery keyboard sounds and flowing synthesizer ambience. The effect is one of elegance and serenity, leaving the listener feeling relaxed and blissful.
