Enlightenment A Sacred Collection - Karunesh

The music of Karunesh has long found an intricate balance between relaxation, spirituality and dreamy, ethereal bliss. A master of crafting moods and capturing emotion, his music often has a strong reflective edge that wraps the listener in a blanket of gently flowing synth moods and piano, with Asian influences sprinkled throughout. ENLIGHTENMENT takes a look back at some of the past Karunesh releases for Real Music, namely ZEN BREAKFAST, JOY OF LIFE, CALL OF THE MYSTIC and NIRVANA CAFÉ. Despite spanning four albums and about eight years, the music is consistent, both in quality and theme. "Moon Temple," a highlight from both ZEN BREAKFAST and this album as well, stands out as a prime example of Karunesh's ability to meld spiritual mysticism with moving melodies. Other highlights include the Indian-flavored "Ancient Voices" and the zen flute sounds of "Flowing Bamboo."
